I forgot my pattern. Can you reset it?
No one can reset it. there is no account. If you created a recovery phrase for that vault, open Hidy Vault, tap the gear on the lock screen and choose “Forgot pattern? Use recovery phrase”. Without the phrase, the vault cannot be opened.
Why does a wrong pattern open an empty vault?
On purpose. Every pattern opens its own vault, so nobody can tell how many vaults exist or whether a pattern is “wrong”.
How do I move my vault to a new iPhone?
Turn on iCloud backup (Settings → This vault) or export a backup file. On the new iPhone choose “Restore from iCloud” or “Restore from a backup file” on the lock screen and enter the vault's recovery phrase.
What is the decoy vault?
A Pro option. Mark one vault as the decoy; drawing its pattern permanently deletes every other vault on that iPhone and opens the decoy normally. Keep backups of vaults you can't lose.
How do I share a vault?
Pro: Settings → Share this vault → Invite someone. Send the 12 words privately. The other person chooses “Join a shared vault” on their lock screen. Invites expire after 48 hours.
I bought Pro on the website. How do I activate it?
Open Settings → Enter a license key and paste the key from your purchase email. One key covers 3 devices. Manage devices or billing at polar.sh/hidy/portal.
How do I cancel?
App Store subscriptions: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Web subscriptions: polar.sh/hidy/portal.
Is Hidy Vault really encrypted?
Yes: AES-256-GCM on your device for file contents, names and thumbnails, with keys derived from your pattern (PBKDF2) and a secret in your iPhone's Keychain. Backups and shared copies stay encrypted in iCloud.
